The charge that Jews have “neglected the spiritual side in their relationship with the Arabs,” was made by Lord Snell last night at a banquet marking the 35th anniversary of the Mizrachi Organization, Zionist orthodox group.

Warning Jews they would be called on to bear new burdens next year, Lord Snell declared:

“You have been so successful that you have created alarm among the Arabs. Assure them you bring strength, not weakness, riches, not poverty.”

Demanding an end to Sabbath violation in the Holy Land, Chief Rabbi Joseph H. Hertz declared: “We do not want Hebrew-speaking heathens; we want Hebrew-speaking Jews. We do not want an imitation culture, nor an imitation of a German university, but Jewish institutions with a Jewish outlook. Let dissenters go to Biro-Bidjan.”

Dr. Selig Brodetsky, member of the World Zionist Executive, referring to the renewed terrorism in Palestine, said:

“If those responsible for government in Palestine cannot prevent murder let them allow the Jews to provide defence.”
