The Rumanian vessel Transylvania arrived here late this afternoon with 230 immigrants from Rumania and Bulgaria. All have Palestine immigration certificates. The Bulgarians, of whom there are 150, were granted the last of the 75,000 visas allotted under the White Paper. The ship arrived too late for the passengers to disembark and they will be forced to remain on board until Sunday morning.
A prize court today began hearings here on a Palestine Government attempt to confiscate the motor ships Tel Hai and Orde Wingate, which were apprehended the last week of March with about 1,000 visaless immigrants on board. The defense maintained that the vessels were captured outside Palestinian waters.
