A delegation of the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jewry, yesterday submitted to the Foreign Ministry here a memorandum asking the Argentine Government to support the protests against the pro-Nazi legislation passed in Austria recently restoring property rights to former members of the Nazi Party to the detriment of Jewish victims of Nazism.
Earlier a similar delegation appeared before the Austrian Minister here and presented him with a protest note on behalf of the Argentine Jewish community. The Minister promised to convey the document to his government in Vienna, but refused to consider it as a protest note. Dr. A. Tartakower, representative of the World Jewish Congress, reported here that in Uruguay the Jewish community submitted a similar protest note to the Austrian Legation in Montevideo.
