The 1960 Jewish Appeal Campaign for Israel was launched today at the new Jewish Community House here by Prof. Hermann Lewin, president of the Keren Hayesod in West Germany.
Others participating in the ceremony were Dr. H.G. Van Dam, secretary-general of the Central Council of the Jews of Germany, Heinz Galisnki, West Berlin Jewish leader and Karl Marx, publisher of the Allgemeine Wochenzeitung. F. E. Shinnar, head of the Israel Mission at Cologne, was the principal speaker.
