The Central Council of Jews in Germany made a formal protest today to two federal ministers against current showings of amended old Nazi films in West German theaters.
The films have been altered to show how the Nazis tried to influence public opinion, but the Council contended that even with the changes, the showings could lead to a revival of Nazi thinking. The complaint, in a telegram to new Justice Minister Richard Jaeger and new Interior Minister Paul Lucke, asked government action to prevent such showings.
