Gabor Vajna, new Hungarian Minister for Home Affairs and one of the leaders of the anti-Semitic Arrow Cross Party, today announced over the Budapest radio that emergency measures will be taken by the Hungarian Government against Jews “to which they might prefer death.”

The Hungarian Minister warned that “no one, whether inside or outside Hungary must interfere with the contemplated measures regarding the Jews.” Other broadcasts from Budapest continued to attack Jews as enemies of the new Hungarian regime and friends of the Allies.
