The Union of Jewish Communities in Italy has made a protest to Msgr. Tardini, Vatican Secretary of State, over the appearance in the Catholic weekly L’Aurora of a short story describing the killing of a Jewish girl, with the approval of her father, because she embraced Catholicism.

Dr. Renzo Bonfiglioli, president of the Union, protested to Msgr. Tardini that the magazine should not encourage “the bitter seeds of hatred and discrimination.”
