Four Syrian Jews have been sentenced by a Damascus military court to lengthy prison terms for allegedly having tried to flee to Israel, it was reported here from Damascus.
Two of the Jews received 12-year terms of hard labor, while the other two were sentenced to six years of hard labor. An Arab, convicted of complicity in the alleged escape attempt, also drew a six-year sentence.
