Results of the municipal elections in 564 towns show that the Jews, while comprising one-third of the urban population, obtained only 1,737 of a total of 10,000 council seats. In rural districts, Jews obtained barely one per cent of the half million seats. The Camp for National Unity and independents won 48 per cent, the National Democrats 16 per cent, the Socialists 10 per cent and the Ukrainians three per cent of the mandates.
