A shareholders’ meeting of the Adverul Company, owners of the large democratic dailies Adverul and Dimineata, decided today to accept the resignations of four Jewish publishers and replace them with a board of “all-Rumanian” directors.

The publishers who resigned are M. Constantine, Michael Graur, Emanuel Pauker and M. Labin. Their resignations, it was declared, were forced by a violent anti-Semitic campaign. The new board includes Mr. Sadoveanu and Lovinesco, well-known writers, who pledged that the papers’ policies would not be changed.
