The official statistical bulletin of the Palestine Government states that in March, Jews purchased from Arabs 10,975 dunams of land at a total cost of L38,063. For the first three months of the current year the Jews purchased from the Arabs 15,575 dunams of land for a total sum of L76,206.
During the month of March, 2,785 immigrants arrived in Palestine, including 2,689 Jews. During the first three months of1938, 4,173 immigrants arrived in Palestine, including 3,918 Jews, as compared with 3,354 immigrants, including 2,951 Jews, during the first quarter of 1937.
