A remarkable rallying of every element of the Jewish population to the support of the Jewish National Fund was begun here today as a response to the attack on the administration of the fund made in the Simpson report on Palestine. The Vaad Leumi, the Jewish National Council, has proclaimed the week of Nov. 2 to 11 as campaign week for the Fund.

Workmen, employers, and organizations all over the country have offered to do their utmost for the campaign. Factories are contributing their profits, workmen are contributing their wages during part or all of the campaign period.

The Hebrew Teachers’ Association has pledged itself to raise 1,000 pounds, and urges Hebrew teachers all over the world to follow its example. Chauffeurs have offered a self-imposed tax on every fare they collect.

Among other contributing groups are city officials, newspapermen, bill-posters, laundry workers, bank employes, and university students. The Hebrew press is devoting a great deal of space to the campaign, in which the workmen call upon each other not to break the “chain” of organizations.
