Some of the major candidates include Samuel Raff, Republican, for the General Assembly; Harry L. Schoen, Democrat, State Committee, and Harry Behrman, Democrat, Freeholder.
The fourth ward of the city, containing most of the Jewish population of the city, has two Jewish Aldermanic candidates: Edward H. Saltzman, Democrat, and Abe Bush, Republican; and four candidates for the Justice of Peace: David Ehrlich, Democrat, and Benjamin Rosenfelt, Toby Schneider, and Morris Rosenberg, Republicans. There are numerous Jewish candidates for the post of county committeeman and county committeewoman in the various districts of the ward.
