The Relief Committee for the victims of the floods which has been formed at Vilna under the chairmanship of the Governor of the District, contains only two Jews among its 70 members, the Polish-language Jewish paper “Nasz Przeglad” complains, expressing annoyance that no representative of any Jewish organisation, not even of the Vilna Jewish Community, was invited to join the Committee, although a great proportion of the flood victims are Jews.
