The forthcoming municipal elections in Poland’s capital hold the attention of the populace. While all efforts of Jewish leaders to bring about a bloc of the Jewish factions have so far failed and the chances of success are extremely slim, the leaders of the Polish nationalist parties continue to use the possibility of a Jewish bloc to frighten Polish voters.

The “Gazeta Poranna,” the organ of the Polish national democrats, publishes alarming articles concerning “Jewish solidarity.” The newspaper claims that the large participation of the Jewish population in the elections may turn over the city government of Warsaw to Jewish hands.

The jingo methods employed by the nationalist press in previous election campaigns are now being taken up again.
