The Jewish National Fund today reported that it has acquired a new piece of land in the Beisan district, in the vicinity of Beth Alfa.
The new tract of land, some 25,000 dunams in area, was not purchased, but was gotten from the Arabs in exchange for another piece of land. This new tract will round on the Jewish holdings in the Beth Alfa neighborhood, in the northern part of Palestine.
The new acquisition of the Jewish National Fund, is considered to be of great strategic importance, and is looked upon as being almost equally important as the recent acquisition of the Huleh concession.
