The first Zionist function in America to take place under blackout conditions was held here today when members of the Los Angeles Council of the Jewish National Fund convened here at a dinner to raise funds for the J.N.F.’s “Land for Victory” campaign, which marks the 40th anniversary of the organization. A message from Jerusalem greeting the conference was received from the three directors of the Keren Kayemeth, Dr. Abraham Granovsky, Berl Katznelson and Rabbi Meir Berlin.
