Joel Shweiger, Yiddish writer and publisher, has died here at the age of 53.
Schweiger was a graduate of an institute of engineering in Belgium. After teaching school for a number of years he went to Palestine as a pioneer. Upon his return to Poland he again became a teacher and at the same time began the publication of a number of important volumes in Yiddish.
