Johanan Meroz, Israel’s Ambassador in Bonn, criticized the attitude of certain circles in West German public opinion towards Israel. He told the annual meeting here of the Deutsche Israelische Gesellschaft (German-Israeli Association) that, white criticism in itself is perfectly legitimate, the criticism of Israel is becoming increasingly an expression of latent anti-Semitism. Meroz generally referred to the media, notably certain magazines, but did not name any.
