Professor Franck will proceed to the United States in the autumn to take up his new post.
Professor Franck resigned from Goettingen University two months ago in protest against Nazi persecution of Jewish educators and scientists, although the fact that he was a Jewish war veteran who had been wounded at the front exempted him from the Hitlerite ban.
