The Joint Distribution Committee announced today a donation of 325,000 rials ($4,300) to the Red Lion and Sun Society, the Iranian Red Cross, for relief of victims of the recent earthquake disaster. Director-General Louis D. Horwitz said that in addition to the money, the JDC had also provided 30,000 pounds of flour and 4,000 pounds of edible oils out of its Food for Peace stocks for its regular feeding and relief programs for needy Jews in Iran.
