The timely aid extended by the Jews of America, through the Joint Distribution Committee, to the sinking Jewish institutions of Germany will enable the institutions to continue their activities. About $100,000 has been distributed by the combined Jewish communities of Germany among 54 hospitals, 37 homes for the aged, 66 juvenile homes, 24 nurses’ schools and 94 other institutions.
Originally allocated for the annual budgets of the institutions concerned, the European representatives of the Joint Distribution Committee authorized the immediate application of the funds to current needs.
