Joint U.S. -british-french Action May Be Taken on Israel’s Note on German Restitution

The note on Jewish indemnification claims presented by Israel Ambassador Abba Eban to the State Department may be acted upon jointly by the Governments of the United States, Britain and France, it was indicated to day by well-informed sources here.

The State Department has referred the note to its bureau on German affairs for consideration and action, a government spokesman told the Jewish Telegraphic representative today. Identical notes were presented to the Foreign Office and the Quai d’Orsay by the Israel envoys at London and Paris.
