A five-point plan which, in the opinion of the Jordan Government, would lead toward solution of the Palestine question, was proposed before the special Political Committee of the General Assembly today by Dr. Yusuf Haikal, chairman of the Jordanian delegation.
The program he proposed consisted of these points: “1. A United Nations Commission for the custodianship of Arab properties in Israel; 2. The return to the Arabs of the territory which Israelis unlawfully occupied; 3. Repatriation of the Arab refugees to their homes; 4. Full and individual compensation to those refugees who do not choose to be repatriated; 5. Establishment of an international control of Zionist immigration into Israel.”
Saudi Arabia today, for the sixth time in the last two months, complained to the Security Council about alleged Israel military aircraft flights over Saudi Arabian territory in the Gulf of Akaba region.
