Jordan has taken delivery of the first shipment of British Mark X Centurion tanks, which are the most modern tanks in the Jordanian Army, the Daily Telegraph reported from Amman. According to the newspaper, Britain has agreed to supply Jordan with at least 50 of the new Centurions. The report noted that obsolete models of the Centurion previously employed by Jordanian forces have been out maneuvered and outgunned by Israeli armor.
