Israeli building projects here–some of them in the former no-man’s land and some in the reoccupied Eastern sector–have led Jordan to renew her preparations for a special United Nations Security Council meeting on the question, it was learned here today. The General Assembly has passed several resolutions calling on Israel to restore the pre-Six-Day War status of the areas involved, but Israel has ignored them. Some of the construction is earmarked for Arab residents of East Jerusalem, who have been actively participating in the plans. Each family that moves into a new house has been promised a large mortgage.
