Jordan’s King Hussein has reportedly decided to name his eldest son, Abdullah, as his successor. Abdullah is a general in the Jordanian army, in charge of a special force that oversees the security of the royal dynasty. The succession move would bypass the king’s brother, Crown Prince Hassan, whom Hussein named as his heir more than three decades ago.
