Jordan’s Prince Hassan publicly acknowledged for the first time that he was upset by the way his late brother, King Hussein, abruptly dismissed him in January as heir to the Jordanian throne. “What hurt me was not the change in the line of succession, but rather the way it was carried out – which was totally unjustified and simply confined to an insult letter full of calumny,” Hassan was quoted as saying in an interview that was published this week in the London-based Arab-language al-Majalla magazine.
