Joseph R. Apfel, of New York, was today elected Grand Master of the Independent Order Brith Abraham as 800 delegates concluded their three-day 60th annual convention here.
Inducted as leader of the organization at special ceremonies following his election, Apfel said: “At this convention we have pledged to work and fight for a Jewish national homeland where thousands of displaced and homeless Jews may go and become rehabilitated. Brith Abraham will not let-up until human justice and peace prevail for these unfortunate victims of Nazi treachery.”
