Joseph Eisner, a prominent leader in Jewish communal activities, has been named a general chairman of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York’s 1954 campaign, it was announced today by the New York UJA’s president Monroe Goldwater. He joins the four general chairmen of previous years who are continuing to serve in 1954. They are Samuel Hausman, Benjamin Lazrus, Jerome I. Udell and Jack D. Weller.
