Election of Morris L. Levinson, New York industrialist and Jewish civic leader, as a member of the board of directors of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency was announced today by Robert H. Arnow, JTA President. Mr. Levinson is president of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York and treasurer of the national UJA. He is a vice president of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds and a trustee of the United Israel Appeal and of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York. Mr. Levinson has been a director of the Fund for the Republic, Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions in Santa Barbara, Cal. since 1963 and trustee or director of numerous Jewish and non-Jewish educational institutions.
