District Court Judge Moshe Ben-Zev was today appointed attorney general, succeeding Gideon Hausner who resigned several weeks ago over differences of opinion between himself and Justice Minister Dov Joseph.
Judge Ben-Zev, 52, was born in Pinsk and was educated at the University of Vienna. He emigrated to Palestine in 1935 and was appointed to the bench in 1958.
