Judge Charles Rubiner of the Common Pleas Court was re-elected for a six-year term, receiving 128,272 votes, against 116,570 for Former Judge Drake, his opponent. Judge Rubiner’s success at the polls was not only a personal triumph for him but was also a defeat for religious prejudice.
