Judge W. G. Litt, presiding justice of the district court at Haifa ever since the establishment of a civil administration under British authority in Palestine, died yesterday of pneumonia. Judge Litt achieved his greatest popularity since the recent disturbances because of the stern sentences he passed on those found guilty of participating in the riots.
