Judge Joseph Proskauer, American Jewish leader, today paid tribute to the “great material progress” made by the people of Israel since his last visit to this country three years ago.
“The spirit of the people remains indomitable in the struggle to attain the ideals of peace and order,” Judge Proskauer added. “I wish every contributor to the United Jewish Appeal could see the enormous gains for humanity which his generosity has furnished. The need to help remains unabated,” he went on, “and I know that American Jewry will continue to supply this aid.”
