Dr. Julius Brodnitz, president of the Central Union of the German Citizens of the Jewish Faith, today issued an appeal on the eve of Rosh Hashonah, revealing the tragic split in the ranks of German Jewry and asking for internal unity. He suggested that for one year, a united Jewish representation should be organized, consisting not of representatives of organizations, but of Jewish leaders who would come together as individuals to throw their weight into achieving absolute Jewish unity. The appeal was issued in behalf of the Central Union.
