Julius Rosenwald, of Chicago, president of Sears, Roebuck &Co., was confined at the Summer White House by illness.
The indisposition was described as of an organic character but not serious. It resulted, however, in his abandoning plans to leave yesterday and deciding to pass the night at White Pine Camp.
Mr. Rosenwald arrived with his daughter. Mrs. A. K. Stearn, of Chicago, to be a guest of the President and Mrs. Coolidge. He remained in bed for some time yesterday, but late in the afternoon he had recovered sufficiently to go about the camp. He is sixty-four years old.
Mr. Rosenwald reported to the President on present business conditions in the United States. Mr. Rosenwald gave the President a view of business, including farming conditions, throughout the country as demonstrated by the barometer of sales by mail.
