The 30th anniversary of Junior Hadassah was marked here today at the opening of the young women’s Zionist organization’s annual convention. Six hundred delegates representing 15,000 members throughout the country will participate in the three-day convention.
Mrs. Samuel W. Halprin, Hadassah president and a member of the Jewish Agency executive, will be the principal speaker at the convention banquet. The role of Hadassah in the American Jewish community and discussions of the organization’s various welfare projects in Israel will occupy the attention of the delegates during the remainder of the parley. The convention will also consider Jewish education in the United States and the current scene in this country.
