A resolution condemning Soviet anti-Semitism and calling upon the USSR authorities to restore religious and cultural rights to the Jews in the Soviet Union was adopted here at a city-wide rally to “arouse public conscience.” The participants included leaders of the Catholic Protestant and Jewish communities of this city.
The Kansas City Jewish Chronicle, local weekly, distributed at the rally a special edition of the newspaper, containing a copy of the prayer on behalf of Soviet Jewry prepared by Israel’s Sephardic Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Yitzhak Nissim.
