Max Braverman of the B. & B. Butchers was held for the Grand Jury today by Judge Richard K. Latourette, sitting in the Court of Special Sessions.
Braverman is charged with keeping both kosher and non-kosher meat in the kosher compartment of his refrigerator. Appearing in court against Braverman were Shepherd Z. Baum, supervisor of Kashruth of the Department of Agriculture, Isadore Rothenberg and County Judge Lazarus Levin were the lawyers for the prosecution.
