President Kennedy has expressed satisfaction to Prime Minister Levi Eshkol over the latter’s position on the vital issues which have been the subject of recent correspondence between the two government heads, it was reported here today. The correspondence was begun when David Ben Gurion was still Premier and was renewed after Mr. Eshkol took office last June.
While the Premier’s office declined to comment, it is believed here that President Kennedy, in a letter received by Mr. Eshkol, indicated understanding of Israel’s views. At the same time it is understood that differences of opinion over future developments were not ruled out.
