Key members of the Mapai wing of the Labor Party are quietly working for the return of former Foreign Minister Abba Eban to the Cabinet, informed sources said here Wednesday. Shlomo Nakdimon, the political correspondent of Yediot Achronot, said the key Laborites want Eban back in government to strengthen the “dove-ish” wing of the Cabinet, According to Nakdimon they would like to see Eban as a Deputy Premier in charge of information policy.
