The quarantine period for refugees arriving in Sveden from German concentration camps has been extended to three weeks, Minister of Social Affairs Moeller told the Swedish Parliament yesterday.

Moeller said that among the 20,000 refugees of various nationalities who have arrived in Sweden since April 9 there have been 213 cases of typhus. The commonest illments from which the refugees are suffering, he said, are, undernourishment, intestinal diseases and tuberoulosis. Many are gravely ill and 70 have died. Three Swedish medical officers, the minister revealed, have contracted typhus from the refugees.
