King Abdullah II of Jordan is slated to meet Tuesday with U.S. Jewish leaders. The meeting, to take place in Washington, comes after Abdullah’s efforts this weekend at an Arab summit to modify a pan-Arab peace proposal to make it more palatable to Israelis. Jordan’s version, which was rejected at the summit, would not have predicated peace on the return of territory.
