King Feisal of Iraq voiced a call to the Arab states to maintain unity and “stand up to the Israeli danger, ” in his throne address opening the Iraqi Parliament yesterday, it was reported here today from Bagdad.
The King declared that Iraq had always considered Palestine an “indivisible” part of the Arab world. He added that his government was committed to working toward peace and security in conformity with the United Nations Charter and in maintaining its relations with the other Arab states in conformity with the Arab League Charter. He said “our government is implementing the League’s collective security pact” (aimed in part at isolating Israel).
