An attempt to secure a court injunction by Rabbi Hirsch T. Glickman on behalf of his congregation compelling the city commissioners to deny the Brown Amusement Company the use of the city auditorium for the premier showing of the motion picture “King of Kings” “on the ground that it is calculated to arouse racial and religious prejudice” was defeated.

The New York distributors did not permit a pre-showing of the picture here in order that a group of representative citizens would pass judgment on the advisability of showing it preparatory for a court injunction.
