A delegation of Moroccan Jewish leaders visited today King Hassan II to congratulate him on the birth of a son, Prince Sidi Mohammed, and to reiterate the attachment of the Moroccan Jewish community to the throne.
The King thanked members of the delegation and talked with them at length, particularly with Rabbi Saul Danan, president of the Supreme Rabbinical Tribunal of Morocco. Other members of the delegation received by the King were David Amar, secretary-general of the Council of Jewish Communities in Morocco, Meyer Obadia, president of the Casablanca Jewish Community and Albert Dery, president of the Rabat Jewish Community.
