Dr. David Tabachowitz, a Jewish high school teacher, has been awarded 5,000 Swedish crowns by King Gustav Adolf of Sweden to go to Israel to study Latin and Greek inscriptions in that country. The funds come from the King’s “Seventieth Anniversary Scholarship Fund for Swedish Culture.” Recipients of all awards from this fund are chosen by the King himself.
