Messages from the King and Queen of England were read at a festival dinner of the London Hospital Aid Society held here at which the memory of Maimonides, the Jewish physician and philosopher of the twelfth century, was honored.
Dr. O’Donovan, member of Parliament, spoke of the role that Maimonides played in medicine. “We have with us now at the dinner the true descendant of Moses Maimonides, Sir Robert Woods, the King’s physician today,” Dr. O’Donovan pointed out.
