Resolutions condemning Communism and alien radicalism were adopted here at the state convention of the Ku Klux Klan, which was attended by more than 400 persons. M. O. Dunning, recently-appointed chief of staff, presided.
Deploring the preaching of the principals of Communism to the American people and charging that alien radicals are financed chiefly by funds from abroad, the Klan invited all civic and social organizations to join it in fighting these evils.
The meeting also went on record as approving a bill drawn up by Solicitor John A. Boykin, making the spreading of seditious activity a felony, and calling for the extreme penalty if a death occurs through violence incident to such activities. A committee was appointed to direct the Georgia program and it was announced that committees would be named in every city and town to report Communistic activities.
